FOXEYE
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
Foxeye (now LUUM) was looking for a transformative design for a retail space for the first-ever large-scale robotic beauty experience. Eyelashes applied by delicate robotic fingers could present some squeamish challenges. While the process was completely safe, efficient, and easy, it was important the design of the space conveyed a comforting, almost womb-like environment to stave off any leeriness about the process.
A classic yet luminous palette was chosen for the space, along with light-diffusing textures, fabrics, and details. The treatment pods were designed with metallic mesh curvilinear panels that allowed for a completely closed and protected space inside, yet a teasing visual experience from the outside.
The design experience was all about transformation from the moment guests arrived and sat at the “hospitality” desk which was designed to host up to six people, allowing guests to try on lashes using the virtual mirrors, shop for products, and step into the photobooth post lash application.
